Corrugated Converting
|
Why co-locate with packaging/processing events? It’s clear: the vertical sectors within these events
are the end-user markets that drive the trends in the converting segment. Just take a look:
Bulk packaging/point of purchase displays for food/beverage, cosmetics/toiletries, household products,
tools/hardware, computer and entertainment products, industrial and automotive, pet and food supplies,
furniture and appliances. Still a global leader in packaging, corrugated containers, including mini-flute
boxes will benefit from printing and graphic design enhancements. U.S. demand for boxes will surpass
$34 billion in 2009. Gains will be driven by an upswing in shipments of nondurables and by a shift
toward high-quality printing and graphics as mentioned. Corrugated and solid fiber boxes will remain dominant.
Current U.S. market size estimated at $23.6 billion.
