November 1, 2006 at Chicago Tens of thousands of converting, packaging and processing professionals have converged upon McCormick Place for the supply chain event comprised of three leading, related industry expos: CPP EXPO, PACK EXPO International, and PROCESS EXPO. Into its 4th day, CPP EXPO is clearly on its way to becoming the show-of-choice for the converting/package printing industry. Conference sessions for CPP EXPO concluded today with CEMA and AIMCAL presentations highlighting the program. New products and enhancements continue to create a buzz on the show floor:

Mario Cotta USA Highlights their GOLD SERIES KNIFEHOLDER at CPP EXPO 2006 in Chicago
The Gold Series knifeholder can slit webs down to as narrow as 2 inches into materials weights up to 900 gsm at speeds up to 5,000 fpm. It features a calibrated depth knob for precise blade-anvil overlap and tool-free cant angle adjustment. These characteristics reduce dust, increase blade life, ensure maximum spatial nip-point stability and increase the quality of the cut. Visit www.mariocotta-usa.com for details; they are located in Booth E-9435 at CPP EXPO.

New Enhancements to J.M. HEAFORD’s PLATE MOUNTING MACHINE Featured at CPP EXPO
JM Heaford is exhibiting the latest model of its medium-web COBRA plate-mounting machine dedicated to sleeves. Cylinder options are also available. New this year is a through-the-lens target illumination system, which projects a small circle of LED light onto the sleeve surface to provide a pre-positioning guide. This improves the image clarity of the register marks on the plate for faster and easier mounting. Visit www.jmheaford.co.uk; they are located in Booth No. E-9741 at CPP EXPO.
